When I Stopped Being A Lawyer
One of the bravest decisions I ever made was to stop being a lawyer.
I felt called to do something different.
Something that aligned more deeply with who I was becoming.
It didn't feel brave at the time.
It felt risky. Uncertain.
But I've learned:
You're the one who has to live with your decisions.
You're the one who decides whether you're proud of the actions you take.
And if your choice doesn't go as planned?
You're the one who can adapt, learn, and choose again.
That insight, along with many others, came up in my recent conversation with Meg Trucano, Ph.D. on the Changeology podcast.
We talked about the kind of bravery that transforms careers, cultures, and people.
The small steps that lead to bigger change.
And why real leadership starts with the courage to take the first step.
I'm grateful to Meg for the thoughtful, generous space she created.
If you're facing a change or helping others through one, I hope this episode gives you something valuable to hold onto.
