Waking Up Thinking “I Should”

"I should give the feedback."
"I should be more visible and approachable."
"I should say no, but I don't want to disappoint anyone."

Every leader I know wakes up with a list of "I should" statements.
But what happens next?

Usually… nothing.

Not because they don't care.
Not because they're lazy.

But because bravery is hard.

Bravery doesn't always look like standing on a battlefield or climbing a mountain.

Sometimes, it looks like sending one email.
Making one call.
Saying one thing that's been on your mind for weeks.

When you wake up with "I should" weighing on you, ask yourself this:

What's getting in the way?

And what would happen if I took one brave step anyway?

Find your bravery.
Start with one step.
