Reward Bravery

You don’t get an enterprising culture by saying you want one.

You get it by building one.

Everyone says they encourage:

→ Candor.
→ Curiosity.
→ Risk-taking.
→ Reinvention.

They say they’ve got a “great culture.”

One that’s “open” and “innovative.”

One they’re “proud of.”

But here's what I've learned:

Saying it doesn’t make it real.

You can want people to be bold.

But unless you create the conditions for bravery...

They won’t be.

Bravery isn’t a buzzword. It’s a capability.

It takes tools.
It takes support.
It takes real incentives.

If you want an enterprising culture, here’s what it takes:

✅ Normalize hard conversations.
✅ Equip your people to speak up.
✅ Embrace the ones who take risks.
✅ Build habits around standing brave.

Culture isn’t created by what you say.

It’s revealed by what you reward.
