Bravery Says “I Don’t Know”

"I don't know."
One of the bravest phrases in the English language.

We don't talk enough in leadership circles about not knowing

In moments of uncertainty, when teams are looking to you for clarity, direction, or confidence, the instinct is to perform certainty.

To give an answer.
Any answer.

Even if you're not sure it's right.

But saying "I don't know" isn't weakness.
It's wisdom.

When leaders can admit when they don't know, they create space for collaboration.

For truth.
For shared problem-solving.

You don't have to have all the answers to be a great leader.
But you do need the courage to say what's real and the conviction to keep showing up.

That's brave leadership.

Not knowing everything.
But being willing to face anything.
