Bravery Means Breaking the Mold
We charged her as a co-conspirator in a drug ring.
She claimed she had no idea her friend was a dealer.
She was in his car.
We found PCP inside.
Her defense?
“I didn’t smell anything.”
The problem?
PCP reeks.
It’s made from a mix of foul chemicals.
There was no way she didn’t smell it.
So… how do you prove a smell?
I didn’t just introduce the PCP as evidence.
I hid it under my chair.
Ten feet from the jury box.
During the trial, jurors complained...
“The smell is unbearable.”
The judge wasn’t thrilled.
He was a no-nonsense guy.
So, he ordered me to remove it immediately.
But the jury had already gotten the point.
And they ended up convicting her.
Sometimes bravery means breaking the mold.
And may or may not involve an illegal street drug. 😊
